Easy to use Guide for ePestSolutions Bed Bug Kits

Bed bug control and prevention requires a fair amount of time and effort to
achieve success, but it can be done.
We have taken the time to assemble these great bed bug kits for all size
treatment areas, even for New York which has the greatest restrictions on
products. You can be successful!
One of the most important parts of the treatment is the inspection process. It
takes time to remove bedding and flip mattresses and box springs and night
stands but this is necessary and will make the treatment a success, meaning check
before you spray!
Know your Enemy!!
• You need a flashlight and a good back for bending over, getting on your
hands and knees and moving furniture.
• When inspecting, look for black splatter marks (fecal material), little white
specks stuck to surfaces (eggs), shed skins and the bugs themselves.
• Make note of these “hot spots”, however your treatment will be much
greater than these areas alone.

D-Force / Bedlam

• D-Force/Bedlam is an aerosol used to detailed work in cracks and crevices.
• Utilizing the small particle size that comes out of the aerosol allows
penetration deep into bedbug living areas.
• Take the straw that comes with the can and put it on the spray can tip.
• Apply D-Force/Bedlam to every seam on the mattress.
• Be sure you do both sides of the mattress and all the cording, handles and
folds that are found on it. Do the same thing with the box springs.
• It is important to get the straw and material into the folds and seams.
• You might not see the bedbugs, but they could be in the fold once you pull
it back. The box spring is one of the biggest culprits for housing bedbugs.
• Flip the box springs over and get into the hollow portion of the box,
including the wood framing and cloth areas.
• This will require you to remove the cheesecloth material from the bottom.
You don’t need it anyway
• Apply D-Force/Bedlam to all the cracks and seams of the bed frame. Get
material into every joint and screw hole and wherever two pieces meet.
• Apply the aerosol into every seam and joint on the headboard. Get the
backside, the bottom and every void the flat bedbugs could hide.
• Apply D-Force/Bedlam to the night stand crack and crevices. This will
require removal of the drawers and flipping the furniture over. Inject the
straw into every possible joint and seam where the wood meets. Get the
back, the bottom and all the seams in between.
• Apply Force/Bedlam to the backs of pictures in the wall. This might require
treatment to the frame on the front also. Carefully examine the alarm
clock and lamps and anything else that might be adjacent to the bed. You
might have to treat a few areas here also.
Applying the dust:
Drione or Delta Dust
• Apply the dust with the duster around the baseboards where it meets the
carpet. This might require pulling back the carpet. This is going to provide
a good residual in an area where bedbugs are found.
• Also dust the entire underside of the box spring.
• This dust will be just a light dusting. A little material goes a long way.
• Dust the underside of the night stand also.
• Remove any switch plates and wall outlets and CAREFULLY dust inside
there. The duster conducts electricity so don’t shock yourself!! You can
dust it from a couple of inches away.
Apply the liquid concentrate Insecticide:

Suspend SC
• Suspend is a liquid concentrate designed to be mixed in a pump up sprayer
and applied as a course fan spray.
• Application areas are directly on the entire mattress, top and bottom, and
over the entire box springs.
• Spray every fold and tuft and button until the material is moist. I also
recommend spraying around the entire bottom perimeter on the room 1
foot up the wall and 1 foot out on the carpet of floor.
• If there is a chair or other furniture in the room, apply to the folds, tufts
and undersides of it also.

Applying the Insect Growth Regulator:

Gentrol
Gentrol Insect growth regulator is designed to be mixed with the Suspend SC.
• This will gradually sterilize the adult bedbugs and prevent them from
reproducing.
• It will also prevent newly hatched nymphs from becoming reproductive
adults.
• Tank mix 1 ounce of material in with the Suspend. Shake the sprayer well
and treat as the directions say in the Suspend SC section.
Sterifab
• Sterifab is designed to spray everywhere…period.
• Application areas are directly on the entire mattress, top and bottom, and
over the entire box springs.
• Spray Sterifab in every fold and tuft and button until the material is moist.
• I also recommend spraying around the entire bottom perimeter on the
room 1 foot up the wall and 1 foot out on the carpet of floor.
• If there is a chair or other furniture in the room, apply to the folds, tufts
and undersides of it also.
• Treat every portion of the night strand, lamps, alarm clock and backs of
pictures. Apply over entire bed frame and headboard.

Adding Prevention Methods:
Bedbug Protection Mattress Covers
At Epestsolutions we sells the top of the line Protect-a-bed mattress and box
spring covers. These covers are designed to encase your mattress and box
springs. (Mattress and box spring covers are sold separately). After you put a
cover on your mattress or box spring, there is no longer a place for the bedbugs to
hide. The covers are seamless and there are no folds or seams or zipper areas for
the bedbugs to escape to. Also, any bedbugs that you might have missed on your
initial treatment will be trapped inside the encasement and will eventually die.
They are a must have if you have a bedbug problem.
Also, if you are a traveler think about carrying with you a travel size bottle of JT
Eatons bed bug Luggage spray, spray your luggage when you leave hotel. That
way you will never be bring unwanted guest home!
Retreatment- I recommend you repeat the entire treatment process in 14-21
days. Bedbugs will emerge from the egg capsules and will start to grow. This
retreatment will kill any newly hatched bugs. Proper application of the purchased
materials and a follow up treatment and inspection will provide excellent
protection from future infestation of Bed bugs.

We had our bed bug problems from a 5 star hotel and brought them home. We also talked to the hotel manager and the used bed bug bully to kill bed bugs, so far it has worked but I think we will be buying that cover as well to protect our stuff the next time we travel.
